Lechi Zhang is a consultant with the SME Finance Forum. He started his career in private sector development in 2007 as the Head Representative in China for an international social enterprise with a mission to improve rural education in Asia. He has consulted for Bank of China International, Guosen Securities, Inter-American Development Bank and King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi on SME financing and business development. Prior to joining the Forum, he worked for the World Bank’s Global Indicators Group, which publishes Doing Business reports annually. He holds a B.A. degree from Oberlin College and a M.P.A. degree from Cornell University.
