Nova Credit Limited Joins 150 Other Financial Institutions to Promote SME Finance

Washington, D.C. January 8, 2019 – Nova Credit Limited (Nova Credit) became the newest member of the SME Finance Forum, a global membership network that brings together financial institutions, technology companies, and development finance institutions to share knowledge, spur innovation, and promote the growth of SMEs.

“200 million businesses worldwide need financing to invest, grow and create new jobs. We are proud to have Nova Credit join our network of 150 members who work to expand access to finance for small and medium businesses,” said Matthew Gamser, CEO of the Forum.

Nova Credit was established in October 2017 and is funded by seven major banks and financial institutions in Hong Kong. Nova Credit is an emerging growth-stage fintech credit company aiming to address challenges of cross-border financial inclusion for over 10 million MSMEs and seven million individuals across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), via its cutting-edge credit scoring technology and fintech platforms.

“Strategic partnerships such as this will uncover a network of individuals, opportunities and information that will strengthen our efforts towards increasing financial inclusion to MSMEs,” said Samuel Ho Kai Yee, CEO of Nova Credit.

Powered by its unique business model and collaborations with various stakeholders across the public, private, banking and government sectors, Nova Credit is well positioned to facilitate banks and internet lenders to perform cross-border KYC, credit risk profiling and underwriting for MSMEs and consumers in the GBA.
