BE RECOGNIZED, SHARE INNOVATION AND IMPACT IN SME FINANCE

The SME Finance Forum presents the Global SME Finance Awards (The Awards) as an integral component of its mission to establish a distinguished platform for peer engagement, knowledge dissemination, and the advancement of innovation in SME finance. The Forum’s expansive network—comprising over 300 financial institutions, fintech companies, development banks, policymakers, and industry experts worldwide—facilitates robust collaboration, knowledge exchange, and partnership development on a global scale. Consequently, the Global SME Finance Awards have become a premier benchmark for acknowledging exemplary leadership and tangible impact within the SME finance sector.

Since their inception in 2018, The Awards have recognized and celebrated financial service providers who demonstrate excellence in delivering innovative products and services to expand SME finance across diverse markets. This initiative enables organizations to showcase effective practices, tangible results, and insights while gaining recognition among a distinguished international network of SME finance leaders.

To further this mission during the 2026 Awards Season, we are launching a series of Information Sessions designed for Financial Service Providers (FSPs) and Industry Stakeholders. These sessions will articulate the significance of The Awards in highlighting industry achievements and impact. Additionally, participants will receive comprehensive guidance on the application process, award categories, and other relevant details. Featured speakers include previous applicants, winners, judges as well as esteemed professionals from the Forum’s global network.

The Inaugural Information Session will focus on the SME Financier of the Year category, outlining its relevance and value to FSPs. Past winners and applicants will share insights into their innovations, impact, and experiences with the application process. The session will conclude with a Q&A segment to address specific inquiries from potential entrants.
