Mumbai Immersion Visit 2025: Supply Chain

On 4 - 6 August 2025, the SME Finance Forum is organizing an immersion visit in Mumbai, India. The event is hosted by STATE BANK OF INDIA and ICICI BANK.

State Bank of India (SBI) a Fortune 500 company, is an Indian Multinational, Public Sector Banking and Financial services statutory body headquartered in Mumbai. The rich heritage and legacy of over 200 years, accredits SBI as the most trusted Bank by Indians through generations.

ICICI Bank is a leading private sector bank in India, offering a wide range of banking and financial services to both corporate and retail customers. It was originally established in 1994 by ICICI Limited, an Indian financial institution, and was initially its wholly-owned subsidiary.

ABOUT THE SCF IMMERSION VISIT: Supply chain finance (SCF) plays a very crucial role in promoting access to financial services especially for SMEs as it provides them with access to liquidity, strengthens their relationship with suppliers and reduces risks for both buyers and suppliers. On the other hand, SCF is also beneficial for financial institutions as it presents not only a new revenue stream for them but also opportunities to diversify their lending portfolios while enhancing relationships with their clients.

In light of the growing importance and popularity of SCF, the SME Finance Forum is organizing a 3-day immersion visit to India from 4-6 August, 2025 where members from around the world who participate in this program will learn from practical experiences of leading banks, ICICI and SBI, that are pioneers in the field.

The three-day program will provide members with a complete understanding of SCF operations including SCF strategy and operating models, organizational structure, credit policy and processes, products and services, risk management as well as systems and technology used to support the business.

The visit is by invitation only, especially members of the SME Finance Forum. If you’re interested in joining the program or want to know about the visa requirements, please reach out to us at smefinanceforum@ifc.org.

The commitment fee for participation is USD 1,000.
