Unified Fintech Forum (UFF), an industry body representing 200 institutions across India’s digital financial services ecosystem, has joined the SME Finance Forum as the global network’s latest affiliate. The Forum brings together 250+ members and affiliates across 190 countries, connecting organizations working to expand access to finance for small businesses worldwide.

UFF joining the SME Finance Forum will create opportunities to connect India’s fintech ecosystem with peers across global markets, exchange practical insights, and contribute to discussions on how digital finance can help close the SME financing gap.

“SME Finance Forum is pleased to welcome Unified Fintech Forum to our global network. UFF brings together a broad range of fintech and financial services institutions working to expand access to digital financial services in India. We look forward to connecting UFF with other members across our network and exploring solutions that can support SMEs in emerging markets,” said Qamar Saleem, Head of SME Finance Forum.

UFF’s participation will bring perspectives from India’s rapidly evolving fintech landscape to the SME Finance Forum and contribute to broader discussions on how technology can help expand access to finance for small businesses.

“Joining the SME Finance Forum is an important step for the Unified Fintech Forum and for India's fintech ecosystem. MSMEs are the backbone of India's economy, yet the financing gap remains significant. Our members, spanning digital lending, payments and allied financial services are building the rails that bring small businesses into the formal credit system. Through the Forum, we look forward to exchanging knowledge with peers across 190 countries, learning from what works in other emerging markets, and contributing India's experience in digital public infrastructure to the global conversation on SME finance,” said Jatinder Handoo, CEO, Unified Fintech Forum.
