Global Climate Finance Forum, a Multi-Stakeholder Platform Advancing Climate Finance for SMEs, Joins the SME Finance Forum
The Global Climate Finance Forum (GCFF), a multi-stakeholder platform dedicated to accelerating climate finance for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) delivering climate solutions across the Global South, has joined the SME Finance Forum as the global membership network's latest affiliate. The Forum's network of more than 250 members and affiliates is made up of SME finance institutions and industry stakeholders operating in 190 countries that share the common goal of expanding access to finance for small businesses worldwide through knowledge exchange and innovation.
"We are delighted to welcome the Global Climate Finance Forum as our newest affiliate. GCFF brings together investors, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and thought leaders to advance climate finance solutions for SMEs. We look forward to collaborating to promote innovative partnerships and strengthen access to sustainable finance for small businesses around the world," said Qamar Saleem, Head of SME Finance Forum.
Through its multi-stakeholder platform, GCFF works to accelerate climate finance for SMEs across the Global South by fostering collaboration, localizing capital, and advancing practical solutions that help overcome barriers to investment.
"SMEs are driving locally rooted climate innovation around the world, particularly across the Global South, yet they remain significantly underrepresented in climate finance flows. By joining the SME Finance Forum, GCFF looks forward to exchanging knowledge, building partnerships across a global network, and advancing practical solutions that unlock capital for climate SMEs." — Veronica Ayzaguer, Head of the GCFF Secretariat
