SME Finance Forum Welcomes İGE - Export Development Türkiye to its Global Network
SME Finance Forum today announced that Export Development Türkiye (İGE) has joined its global network of more than 250 SME finance institutions and industry stakeholders across 190 countries working to expand access to finance for small businesses worldwide.

İGE joining the SME Finance Forum will bring valuable perspectives from Türkiye’s export finance ecosystem to a global network of SME finance stakeholders and create opportunities for collaboration with peers across markets.

About Export Development Türkiye (İGE)
İGE is a credit gurantee agency established to facilitate exporters' access to financing that they are unable to reach due to lack of collateral. Export companies, especially SME exporters, play a key role in sustainable growth and development of the economy, and access to external resources is crucial to finance their working capital needs and new investments.
İGE was established on October 13, 2021, through the vision of the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye. Its shareholders include the Türkiye Exporters Assembly (TIM), Turk Eximbank, 61 exporters' associations, and 20 major Turkish banks. Through its partnership structure bringing together both borrowers and lenders in the export credit market, İGE designs and implements export development strategies through collaboration and synergy.
As of August 2026, İGE has received more than 43,000 guarantee applications and provided guarantees for loan requests amounting to USD 6.4 billion. Since its establishment, İGE has supported more than 14,000 exporters, offering benefits to both exporters and banks.
