Published on August 20, 2026

CARE has joined the SME Finance Forum as the global membership network’s latest affiliate. The 250+ members and affiliates of the Forum are SME financing experts operating in 190 countries who share the common goal of expanding access to finance for small businesses worldwide through knowledge exchange and innovation.

“The SME Finance Forum proudly welcomes CARE as a new affiliate. CARE’s decades of experience advancing inclusive economic opportunities and strengthening partnerships across the development and finance ecosystem will bring valuable insights to our global network. We look forward to collaborating with CARE to share knowledge, build partnerships, and advance solutions that expand access to finance for underserved communities and women-led MSMEs,” said Qamar Saleem, Head of SME Finance Forum.

Through its collaboration with the SME Finance Forum, CARE will share lessons from its global work with savings groups, women entrepreneurs, and financial-sector partners to support more inclusive finance solutions.

“CARE is proud to join the SME Finance Forum. For decades our savings groups have brought millions of women into the financial system, and today, through our Rise platform, we connect those networks and other entrepreneurs to women-centered products in partnership with banks, investors, and fintechs facilitating their growth. We look forward to sharing what works, learning from this global community, and building the partnerships that turn financial access into lasting economic power for women,” said Michelle Nunn, President and CEO of CARE USA.
