QDB Joins 140 Other Financial Institutions to Promote SME Finance

Washington, D.C., April 11, 2018 – Qatar Development Bank (QDB) became the newest member of the SME Finance Forum, a global membership network that brings together financial institutions, technology companies, and development finance institutions to share knowledge, spur innovation, and promote the growth of SMEs.

“200 million businesses worldwide need financing to invest, grow and create new jobs. We are proud to have QDB join our network of 140 members who work to expand access to finance for small and medium businesses,” said Matthew Gamser, CEO of the Forum.

QDB brings the best local, regional and international expertise to help promote local entrepreneur's skills and support their projects as an SME. They offer various training programs, workshops and exhibitions for SMEs.

“The number of quality members as well as the set of services and events held prompted us to join the SME Finance Forum,” said Abd Al Aziz Khalifa, Chief Executive Officer. “The QDB team will receive tools to expand its reach to MSMEs at the Forum’s networking events and through peer exchange visits.”
