Afro-Asian Fintech Festival 2020
The 2nd Afro-Asia FinTech Festival will bring together FinTech entrepreneurs, financial industry & telco leaders, tech investors, government & central bank representatives and development agencies professionals and it is organized by the Monetary Authority of Singapore, that also organises the Singapore FinTech Festival. The SME Finance Forum will be represented by our CEO, Matt Gamser.
In 2019, the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) and the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) announced a FinTech partnership and launched the inaugural Afro-Asia FinTech Festival. The Afro-Asia FinTech Festival is the first of its kind in the region that recognises the huge opportunity of bringing together FinTech innovations across Africa and Asia. With Kenya and Singapore as the launch pads for connections, collaborations and the exchange of ideas, the partnership addresses real world problems through FinTech. The first Afro-Asia FinTech Festival took place in Nairobi and brought together close to 2,000 participants from 43 countries across Africa, Asia and other parts of the globe to exchange ideas, forge partnerships and nurture thriving FinTech ecosystems.
