Deputy President William Ruto's wife, Rachel, has encouraged Nyeri women to embrace table banking. She said through the initiative, the women can save and access loans for investments from their small contributions.
Rachel said women across the country should form groups and make use of table banking concept to empower themselves and eradicate poverty. She said the government through the Poverty Eradication Commission launched the system with the aim of helping rural women access their own funds to start income generating projects.
