Washington D.C., April 16th, 2021- BanQu joins the SME Finance Forum as the newest member of our global membership network. Our members are SME Financing experts from 80+ countries who share the common goal of expanding access to finance to small businesses worldwide through knowledge exchange and innovation.
“40 percent of small and medium businesses worldwide struggle to get access to the credit and capital that they need to grow their enterprises. We are delighted to welcome BanQu to our network of over 220 member institutions who are working to eliminate the finance gap for SMEs,” said Matthew Gamser, CEO of the SME Finance Forum.
BanQu aims to bring order and transparency to global brands’ supply chains and elevate people across regions out of extreme poverty through its blockchain-based technology solution. BanQu provides originators and micro-enterprises with evidence of their existence in the supply chain, giving them an economic passport they can access in a free and secure online profile. This technology allows more underbanked people to track their relationships and transactions and have chances to participate in the global economy.
“If an originator like the Congo farmer or a recycler on the streets of Lusaka were bankable, they would be able to move out of extreme poverty. BanQu’s digital ledger enables them to become an equal part of the supply chain. We look forward to attending learning events of the SME Finance Forum and further optimizing our services in the long run,” said Ashish Gadnis, CEO of BanQu.
