About Tyme Global
Founded in 2018, TymeGlobal is a multi-country digital banking technology group with expertise in building banks integrated with physical retail distribution networks, focused on consumers and small businesses in emerging markets. TymeGlobal partners with local, in-country entities to launch greenfield digital banks, contributing its cloud-based technology stack, proprietary data analytics using alternative data, hardware, product propositions as well as capital and talent to the joint digital banking ventures. TymeBank in South Africa, a fully licensed bank, is the first digital bank using the ‘high-tech, high-touch’ Tyme platform. TymeBank welcomed 1,000,000 customers in ten months, a record among standalone greenfield digital banks. This was achieved through the combination of TymeKiosks, which enable full account opening and instant card issuance through the digital kiosks in retail stores in 3 minutes with just a thumbprint, and TymeCode, that enables real-time cash withdrawal and deposit at partner retail stores. TymeGlobal is now expanding operations across Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
